Our High Peak Paws dog walking service has been designed with your dog as our primary concern. As we move on from COVID, we are adapting our services to support owners who are not only out of the house for work (or other reasons), but for owners who also now deal with hybrid systems of work. We still aim to provide a service that means, upon returning from our care, your dog(s) will have not only have had exercise but mental stimulation, fuss and fun.
We offer the half hour and full-hour options. However, we will provide a bespoke service that can be tailored to meet an individual dog’s needs. When we are out, will normally endeavour to take your dog to an area where they can run around and have fun (please note, dog(s) will not be allowed 'off lead' unless we have been instructed and assured that they have good recall and that owners have signed the appropriate disclaimer). For those dogs that don’t travel well, we will stick to the local area. For the or more mature dog that may prefer a nice potter or a saunter round the garden, we are happy to potter around with them.
We cover Tintwistle, Hadfield, Padfield, Glossop and other areas of Derbyshire.
High Peak Paws evolved naturally from looking after family, friends, neighbours' pets and animals over many decades. Following an opportunity to change career direction and put ourselves on a professional business footing, we set up High Peak Paws as a registered business in 2014 and have been supplying dog walking and pet sitting services ever since.
At High Peak Paws, we have over the years dealt with a fabulous array of animals. Early memories, including dogs and cats, horses and donkeys, caged birds, small furry critters such as gerbils and hamsters. The bringing home of goldfish from the church fair (yes, I am old enough to have done that – the goldfish went on for 22 years!)… rescuing wild animals (blackbirds, pigeons, hedgehogs, frogs, voles and field mice (see the cats...) Up to recent times, where we can now add to this list of animals including, chickens, pigs (big un’s too), ferrets, rats, terrapins and dragons… and the list goes on.
As owners you care deeply for your animals, and when you leave them in the care of someone else, you would hope that they would try to care for them as much as you do. At High Peak Paws, we aim to provide a and caring and professional service for all our owners and their animals.
